India-based startup ENRG on Monday launched a new fitness tracking smart band in the wearable market dubbed Actiwear. The wearable is available from the company website, Shopclues, and Amazon at an MRP of Rs. 2,999. It is available in Red, Blue, and Black colour variants.

The wearable device according to the company, is the “world’s smartest fitness band for serious fitness enthusiast.” Sporting a sleek design, the Actiwear smart band like others tracks the wearer’s activities, workouts, calories, distance travelled and sleep patterns via the Zeroner app.

In addition, the band also shows smartphone notifications such as incoming calls and messages. It features a 0.9-inch touchscreen Oled display and is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. As per ENRG, the band also controls the linked smartphone’s camera shutter.

The company says the waterproof IP67-certified Actiwear smart band is backed by a 75mAh battery that can deliver up to 5 days of power on single charge.

Talking about wearables, Garmin last week launched two new smartwatches, the Forerunner 230 and Forerunner 235, in India.

The highlight of the new Forerunner wearables is they feature Glonass and GPS. Both the Garmin Forerunner 230 and Forerunner 235 smartwatches are shock resistant and water resistant up to 50 metres. The wearables can track various activities including running, sleeping, counting steps, calories, and distance covered. They can also show maps on the display apart from running matrices like pace, speed, and distance. While the Forerunner 230 is priced at Rs. 22,990, the Forerunner 235 costs Rs. 27,490. Misfit at CES 2016 also launched a new fitness and sleep monitor called Misfit Ray.
