First up, Google says that there are a number of new Daydream VR apps rolling out today. Those include:

  • Lego BrickHeadz Builder VR
  • HBO Now and HBO Go
  • Gunjack 2: End of Shift
  • NextVR
  • Layers of Fear: Solitude
  • Wands
  • Underworld Overlord
  • Netflix (coming later this month)
  • Need for Speed No Limits VR (coming later this month)

Virtual reality is still in its early days, and so it’s good to see several new titles coming to Google’s Daydream VR platform so soon after its launch. Not only does this give existing Daydream View owners some more content to mess with, but it makes the platform more enticing to anyone considering a Daydream View headset and device.

Speaking of Daydream View, today’s the day that the Crimson and Snow versions of Google’s VR headset officially launch. Both limited edition headsets are available online in the Google Store in the US, UK, and Australia, as well as Verizon in the US. The devices are coming soon to Best Buy in the US as well as EE and Carphone Warehouse in the UK.

Also worth noting is that there are now more Daydream-compatible devices. Originally, only the Google Pixel and Pixel XL were Daydream-compatible, but recent updates to the Moto Z and Moto Z Force gave them Daydream support, too.
