Interesting shift at the top at the largest manufacturers of smartphones reveal recent data from the marketing firm IDC. The two companies held the fourth and fifth position, Lenovo and Xiaomi – was replaced by two other well known Chinese manufacturers Oppo and Vivo.

The change is really surprising given that Lenovo and Motorola have very serious global presence, while Xiaomi has big ambitions to break into world markets. However, the statistics from IDC is not in favor of the combination Lenovo-Motorola, as the pair was third in the report for 2014, then at the fifth position before leaving the top five.

For the past years, Xiaomi move between the fourth and fifth place, but in both cases, according to IDC the positions of these manufacturer were more unstable than once thought.

IDC explains these variations with quite unstable Chinese market changes that affect practically all manufacturers. In addition to launching traditional explanation that the smartphone market is already saturated and consumers are not buying as much as before. On top leader continues to be Samsung, followed by Apple and Huawei.
