Samsung again leads in the Global Smartphone Market

Apple has 15.3% market share for the last quarter within the global slowdown in the smartphone market at the beginning of this year, according to a new study of IDC.

Yesterday Apple announced 51.2 million sold iPhone in first quarter of 2016, which is a decline compared to the same period last year when the company sold 61.2 million iPhone and had a 18.3% market share.

Global smartphone shipments reached 334.9 million devices during the quarter – a modest increase of 500,000 units annually.

Samsung continues to lead with 81.8 million delivered smartphones and 24.5% market share (compared with 24.6% in the same period last year). Huawei, OPPO and Vivo follow the big two, but names such as HTC, Sony and LG did not even appear on the list.

Of the other three the best presented is Huawei with 27.5 million delivered devices and 8.2% market share. Last year, their market share was 5.2% which is good increase.
